The Director of Hotel Operations is also responsible for achieving hotel revenue goals and directing and managing the day-to-day operations of the both propertys hotel front desk services and the bell, valet, spa and casino environmental services (EVS) operations at Margaritaville.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not allinclusive for this position.
)1.
Responsible for directing the overall operations and staff of the Hotel; functions as a strategic leader of the hotel with responsibility for all aspects of the operation.
Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.

Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to have the Bossier City properties as their casino/hotel of choice; responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to employees in order to provide superior customer service.

Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.

Ensures that the hotel and casino property are well maintained, clean, and that the team members exhibit a passion for cleanliness and presentation of the property in the best possible way5.
Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and directs hotel, spa and EVS management staff in order to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.

Monitors and evaluates all department daily activities, including hotel front desk, valet, spa and to ensure the successful operation of the resort.

Establishes department standards, guidelines, and objectives, and oversees other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of hotel.

Evaluates hotel performance by compiling statistics such as occupancy and labor reports and guest satisfaction questionnaires in order to implement necessary changes to ensure the most successful operation of hotel services and adherence to property objectives.
9.
Works closely with Marketing to drive occupancy and maximized revenue for all Hotel operations.
10.
Makes recommendations for major operation changes such as establishing room rate and changing of services in order to help guide properties towards achievement of objectives.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to research, analyze, comprehend, and act upon information and be aware of the business environment in order to effectively manage areas of responsibility.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, outside contacts, and all levels of employees Thorough knowledge of Front Desk, Concierge, Valet, Bell Desk, Spa and EVS operations.
Ability to work with Marketing and Advertising functions in developing, implementing, and meeting established financial goals.
Proven ability to hire and motivate all levels of employees.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelors degree in Hotel or Business Management or related field in addition to five years upper management experience in resort operations, and/or through the completion of a high school education or equivalent and ten years progressive hospitality and resort management experience.
