Qualifications Benefits Supplemental Questions
M.A. or M.F.A. or higher in Theatre (or MA with 18 graduate hours in Theatre), Graduate course work in Design and Technical Theatre. Academic and/or professional experience and expertise in theatre design, including, set, props, lighting, and sound design, as well as technical theatre and construction in more than one area required. Two or more years teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to teach, supervise, and mentor students through design and construction for main stage productions preferred. Academic experience in program and curriculum building, such as, creating new courses, Student Learning Outcomes, course outlines preferred, etc. Demonstrated ability to work closely and cooperatively with a variety of artists, technicians, and students involved in the art of theatre and music. Evidence of strong interpersonal communication and management skills. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures. Demonstrated willingness to put in extra time required to make a program successful. A good sense of humor is a plus.

This is a 9-month, unclassified, faculty position.
